Musings of a teacher...
Locker clean-out day is one of those special times of the year for teachers. It just doesn't feel real until this happens. Yes ladies and gentleman, four more days, count them! Four. More. Days. until my darling babies become the dreaded high school freshman. Locker clean-out makes the dream a reality. It is true. It is the end and we have survived. But as fun as the locker clean-out is, the aftermath is always there for a good chuckle. Oh how I wish I had taken a picture!
The countdown:
1000 papers strewn across the floor that were handed out with the words, "Don't loose this!"
17 discarded pencils that I can still use for exams
9 perfectly good backpacks
7 broken 3-ring binders
6 PE shirts
5 moldy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
4 pairs of PE shorts
3 thongs
2 pictures that I shouldn't have seen
1 copy of my holy grail study guide...shame, shame.
Johnny running around with the thongs on his head? Priceless.

Haha...sorry Kate. Actually, this picture is mild compared to the real things!
;-) Ames,
Sometimes they are such funny kids that you can't stop laughing long enough to get on to them.
