First thing this morning we headed off to the JFK museum.
It was really good and the exhibits had lots of memorabilia.
Definitely worth it.
Next we headed to Fenway Park. Walked the neighborhood and took in the ambiance. We ate lunch in the shadow of the Green Monster at the Cask and Flagon. Linc had an awesome pepperoni pizza and I had ½ a Rueben and clam chowder. I am a clam chowder fan and man, that was some of the best I have ever eaten!
After Fenway we headed over to the Museum of Fine Arts. We saw paintings by Monet, Renoir (which was my favorite), Van Gogh, and O’Keefe (my second favorite). The Egyptian exhibit was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed Rock Posters Through The Ages. We were lucky because our detour through Fenway had us arriving at the MFA at 4pm and we got in free because of a special “open night”! That saved us thirty bucks.
We spent hours in the MFA so we headed over to Boston Common and walked down Trenton Street, doubling back through Downtown Crossing and ended up in Chinatown where we had the BEST beef and broccoli and sweet and sour pork. Yummy! We ate with our chop sticks and listened to the couple next to us talking in Chinese (I think). It was a lot of fun.
It’s 9pm now and we’re back in the hotel. Feet are aching but we’re having a blast. We’ve decided to pay for the Trolley Tour tomorrow. It will give us a tour of the city above ground and we can get off and on all we want.
…Fiona…
PS-Blogger stopped letting me upload pics halfway through. Maybe it'll be in a better mood tomorrow.

Hey, Fiona! My old stomping grounds. Beantown. Love Old North Church & Beacon St. My fav. was always the Science Museum. Quincy Market isn't half bad either. Just don't go through the Big Dig.
Too too funny your pilots were stuck in traffic here in DC! ROTFLMAO Welcome to our nation's capitol.
Hope you & the hubby have a great time.
